Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Below we have the antenatal pregnancy notes and the information leaflets we like to give you prior to your booking appointment.
If you could read this information before your booking it would be helpful for yourself and the midwife.

“This information is for you if you (or a friend or relative) are expecting a baby, planning to become pregnant or have recently had a baby. It tells you about group B Streptococcus (GBS) infection in babies in the first week after birth (known as early-onset GBS) and provides links to further information about late-onset GBS infection. It includes the current UK recommendations for preventing GBS infection in newborn babies.”

On the morning of your booking appointment
Please attend on time for your booking appointment, you can bring your partner with you as long as you both have no symptoms of covid-19.
You will need to bring an early morning urine sample, so please collect a pot from reception prior to your appointment to do this sample.
When you arrive for your appointment, please check in with reception, you will then need to take a seat in the upstairs waiting area (through the main waiting area and follow the signs until you get to the stairs).
Your first appointment will take roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes. You will not get a scan at this first appointment.
If you have any concerns prior to your appointment please contact the GP surgery.
Looking forward to meeting you
